Hibiscus Watermelon Slushie | The Only Watermelon Drink You'll Need All Summer

Is there a more perfect summer pair than hibiscus and watermelon? Tart, floral hibiscus meets sweet, hydrating watermelon in this two ingredient slushie made with cold-brewed Disco Nap Herbal Tea

It comes together with a blender and almost no effort, and it tastes like the best parts of August in a glass.

From Your Herbal Pantry:
Disco Nap Herbal Tea

Disco Nap is our best-selling loose-leaf tea, built around tart hibiscus and rounded out with cooling peppermint and spearmint, warming cinnamon, and bright lemongrass. There's a touch of chrysanthemum for good measure (and because we just love edible flowers).

It's a gentle, no jolt afternoon pick-me-up, hot or iced.

For this watermelon drink, you'll want to cold-brew the hibiscus tea. Steeping it overnight rather than with hot water preserves more of the hibiscus' high (and heat-sensitive) vitamin C content.

A Deeper Look at Hibiscus

Hibiscus has been steeped into drinks across tropical and subtropical cultures for generations, usually paired with warming spices and a touch of something sweet. It's rich in antioxidants and has long been used to support healthy circulation and a cooling, refreshing effect on hot days. Plus, it's an excellent tea for healthy, glowing skin.

It's one of those plants that earns its place in your pantry by doing double duty: it's genuinely delicious, and it's awfully good for you too.
